smoked mozzarella grilled cheese
{for 2 sandwiches}
4 slices of bread {we used 3-cheese semolina}
butter
6 slices of fresh, smoked mozzarella
1 tomato cut into 6 slices
fresh basil leaves
thinly shaved asiago cheese
1. preheat skillet to medium heat.
2. butter 1 side of each slice of bread. top 2 slices with 3 pieces of mozzarella, 3 slices of tomato, 2-3 basil leaves, and a sprinkle of asiago. top with remaining 2 slices of bread, butter side up. :)
3. place sandwich in skillet & cook 5 minutes per side, or until golden brown & cheese starts to get gooey.
the smoked mozzarella MAKES this sandwich...
it's SO good.
if you wanted to add protein,
turkey or ham {maybe some prosciutto, even!}
would be delicious!
so, now it's your turn -
